Bloody-disgusting.com have just given all Manga fans an early christmas present by sharing some juicy gossip - Warner Bros. Pictures is trying to get a live action Akira movie off the ground.

To answer your question - yes we did but this time round, it’s for real. So real in fact that WB has assigned a director to the flick, 29-year-old Oscar nominated Irish director Ruairi Robinson!
No more details have been revealed.

AKIRA MOVIE PLUS NINJA SCROLL MOVIE.
Warner Bros is working on Akira movie with Ruairi Robinson to direct the film,James Wong will be working on Dragonball Z movie there is Speed Racer is also be made and Mortal Kombat producer Larry Kasanoff
has the Ninja Scroll in works in 2002 but the film is dead and Kasanoff and his production Company Threshold Entertainment have been busy working on Foodfight and Mortal Kombat movie remake so they will bring the Ninja Scroll series back from the dead in the future.
