Multicore memory almost upon us

Most CPUs on the market today are either dual or quad core, well Joseph Ashwood a cryptographic researcher may have multicore memory with us in the next few years all being well. His design allows memory to actually become faster as it gets bigger due to the way data is organized across individual memory cells.

The design shows the ratio of 1:1 so if the size of the memory doubles so does the speed. All theory at the moment but he’s proved the design in software simulations. So if memory manufacturers sign up to the design we could be seeing this rolling off the production lines in as little as 3 months as long as one of the many other “Next Gen RAM” designs don’t get there first.
